We are a couple originally from Congo, passionate about delivering an unparalleled dining experience that combines exceptional Congolese flavour, warm hospitality, and an inviting atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of New Covent Garden Market, our stall is a haven for steak enthusiasts and food lovers alike.
Congolese cuisine is rich, diverse and blends a host of mouth-watering flavours, ingredients, and culinary techniques.
Congolese cuisine offers a variety of dishes such as Kwanga, a staple made from fermented yuca or cassava dough; Pondu or Saka-Saka, made from cassava leaves; Liboké, a stew of meat or fish cooked in banana leaves over hot coal; Makayabu, a popular salt fish recipe, and a staple favourite of many around the world – Ntaba, grilled/wood-smoked meat made using the finest lamb.
